Today we encounter the world through the prism of seemingly neutral, digital apps owned by tech giants. Unrendered Road traces the route between two ancient cities: Jerusalem and Jericho. It is only 25.6 km long and takes 38 minutes by car. It even has a number: “Highway 1.” Yet this is a journey that Google Maps will not show you. By assembling conflicting perceptual readings, Tali Liberman questions the reliability of our systems of knowledge and is testament to a passage between real places and other spaces.
