2024The project Imkān (meaning possibility, contingent, existence in the Persian and Urdu languages) attempts to find aesthetic parallels between AI and geometry, digital pixel and Girih in Persian architectures, and between computational and cosmological codes which have the potential to act as the signifiers of the imperceptible. Each culture is the actualization of a potentiality of the human being in a specific place on earth and at a specific moment in history. We are somehow limited to a particular space-time point that shapes our episteme. Would it be possible to reconcile different epistemes to go beyond our zeitgeist?
